THE CivPac Amesii Basketball Club has claimed minor premiership titles following their stint in the 2024 Port Moresby Elite Basketball [PEB] competition’s final round match on Wednesday evening.
Both men's and women's 5x5 teams performed to great lengths against Tribes Coffee Club with the women's claiming a 60-59-point difference win.
Their men’s team finally broke off Tribes winning streak with a 79-61 win to claim the minor premiership title at the Sir John Guise Indoor Complex courts.
Meanwhile, in other PEB fixtures, ACL Kings have cemented their spot for finals against Togoba Coffee following their 98-93 win over Moni Plus.
Amesii Mens Team Manager Den David said, “It feels great to finally get a win off from the Tribes after they defeated us in the opening round of the competition.”

He said despite claiming minor premierships for both teams, it won’t stop them from continuing to work on their game plans ahead of the first final week next Tuesday.

“We have more work to do during training because we know next week’s major semifinals will be tough given our performance this week,” David added.
Meanwhile, the first week of finals is now set with Amesii and Tribes men's and women's compete for to secure the first Grandfinal spot.
The losing teams will be relegated to play the winner between ACL Kings and Togoba Coffee [men] and Saints and Northwest Wizards [women].
