The stretch of road from Gerehu, Rainbow, and Administrative College was a sea of men, women and children who woke up as early as 4am to partake in the traditional stations of the cross this morning in Port Moresby.

Numbering hundreds, the Catholic faithfuls and Christians started the procession of the cross at St Charles Lwanga in Gerehu stage 2 with singing and prayers to mark the walk of Jesus Christ before his death at Calvary.

The walk proceeded to the Boulevard and onto VC after the 4th station at the Somare Institute of Leadership and Governance.

From there it proceeded to Islander, Hohola, Port Moresby General Hospital and other stations before ending with the 14th station at St Josephs parish in East Boroko.
