Fuel prices for November will increase from the October subsidized price.

This following the cessation of the Government's fuel relief assistance.

The government has now removed its one-billion-kina fuel relief assistance, reprioritizing funding for El Nino dry conditions severely affecting the country.

Independent Consumer and Competition Commission highlighted says this will see the increase of fuel products for this month, that will come into effect on Sunday the 8th of November.

Petrol is expected to increase by about 30 toea from k5.90 and will sell at K6.19 per liter, diesel will increase by 79 toea from K5.90 and will sell at K6.69 whilst kerosene sells at K6.57 an increase of about 67 toea from K5.90

The impact of the increase will be partially offset by the Government's fuel relief assistance through the continued exemption of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on fuel prices, thus the increase in toeas.

ICCC highlights this, few days ahead of the implementation date.
