Former Attorney General and Sinesine Yongomugl MP Kerenga Kua has described the referral of the Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika by the Ombudsman Commission to the National Executive Council as unprecedented and a dangerous trend.

Mr Kua says this refferal must be treated with caution.

While the Opposition has called on the acting Public Prosecutor to file an urgent application to the Supreme Court, MP Kua pointed out that whatever procedures are taken and its verdict will set a precedent for years to come.

The former State Minister says the constitution and rule of law cannot be tampered with or for that matter meddling with powers and provisions of the 3 arms of Government.
