Round five of the OFC Pro League is set to kick off this weekend in Fiji and PNG Hekari Football Club left home today to take part.

After a challenging round four in Honiara last month, the Jerry Allen coached side still sit at the bottom of the standings with one win, two draws and eight losses with hopes to do well in Fiji this time around.

PNG Hekari FC's campaign in Fiji will be tougher as they face the top three sides of the competition all at the Govind Park starting with hosts Bula FC this Sunday, followed by ladder leaders Auckland FC on the 15th, and their final fixture for the round will be against the second placed South Melbourne FC on the 18th.

Despite Hekari's challenging run in round one (Auckland), round two (Port Moresby), round three (Melbourne) and round four (Honiara), the Jerry Allen coached side remained focused to do well.

Hekari's only victory in the competition so far came in Melbourne against Vanuatu United and a second win would boost the morale of the team and its fans.

With the format made known to all clubs earlier in the year, PNG Hekari is likely to finish off in the challengers pool.
