MBPG backs MBPHA for drugs
The Milne Bay Provincial Government has honored its annual health support budget, last week presenting the Milne Bay Provincial Health Authority over K275, 000 to procure essential medical drug supplies it needs.
In a statement, the Milne Bay Provincial Health Authority confirms they were given over K275,000 to procure essential medical drugs for the Alotau Provincial Hospital.
"We're informed, it was from the Provincial Governments' annual Hospital support budget of K300,000", the statement read.
The Authority confirms their supply requisitions totaled K299,700 given to Provincial Government in December of 2025 is what the help specifically was for.
Co-ordinator Provincial Service Improvement Program, Derek Gneiding says, health continues to be a priority for the Wesley-Magioudi Government alongside Education and Agriculture.
Meantime, Health Authority CEO, Dr Perista Mamadi added they welcomed any help for their sector thanking the provincial government for honoring their commitment to health.
