Corporate support fuels momentum as Lae prepares for 2025 touch championships
Preparations for the 2025 TFPNG National Touch Championship are gaining momentum, boosted by early corporate backing from Lae Biscuit Company.
The company’s Managing Director, John Chow, presented cartons of Snax biscuits to officials of the Touch Football Federation of Papua New Guinea [TFPNG] at its Lae warehouse, support aimed at assisting teams that will travel to compete in the December 10–14 tournament.
TFPNG President Steven Kuimp welcomed the contribution, saying sponsorship and community support are vital as the federation works to deliver a successful national event.
“So far, 12 associations have confirmed their participation,” Kuimp said. “Teams coming include Kimbe, Port Moresby, Hagen, Goroka, Madang and Oro, although a few associations will not be attending.”
The 2025 championship will be held at the SCRUM Field at the Lae Showground, which has been secured as the official venue.
