OTML Premier Soccer League semifinals set for tomorrow

The stage is set for the semifinals of the OTML Premier Soccer League tomorrow in Port Moresby and Lae.

After 22 rounds of football action in the country's domestic men's football competition, the top four teams are finalized.

Out of the 11 participating clubs this season, the top four advancing into the semis tomorrow are Lae City FC who finished with 50 points and remain undefeated all through the 22 rounds, Hekari United FC who finished second with 40 points, Gulf Komara, third with 40 points and FC Morobe Wawens, finished fourth with 37 points.

The semifinals tomorrow will see minor premiers Lae City FC take on FC Morobe Wawens at the PNGFA in Lae while, the PNG Football Stadium in Port Moresby will host the other semifinal between reigning champions Hekari United and Gulf Komara.

Kick off time for both semifinal fixtures are set for 3pm.

In a statement, the PNG Football Association acknowledged all participating teams, fans and sponsors and also commended the top four clubs who qualified for the semifinals.

“We congratulate the top Four teams on reaching the semi-finals and we extend our appreciation to all participating clubs for their contribution to a successful 2025 season. We anticipate highly competitive fixtures as the league moves into the finals,” PNGFA stated.

Both losing teams will compete in the third fourth placing next weekend while the two winners will meet in the grand final scheduled for next week at the PNG Football
