Board members of St. Patrick primary school sworn-in

In a continuous effort to improve education systems on local levels, East Sepik Education Division has recognized 12 new Board of Management [BOM] members from Sassoya St. Patrick's Primary School as key decision makers for the school.
Recently, 2 females and 10 males were sworn-in by Commissioner of Oaths Counsel Angellus Koraino.
During the ceremony, Koraino emphasized the significance of performing their duties legally.
"Everything decision that you will be doing or every action that you will take must be for the best interest for the school," he said.
He stressed the importance of honesty, discretion, and integrity of their roles.
Provincial Education Board Executive Officer John Yaure encouraged the 12 members to focus on improving their school.
He encouraged them to fully implement to the 1-6-6, meaning that one year of Early Childhood Education and Development [ECED], six years of Primary Education and six years of Secondary Education.
"Yangoru-Saussia produces a lot of smart children, and with this system, you will achieve more, "he said.
Head Teacher Jacob Raulo thanked Mr. Yaure and Counsel Koraino, saying he is relieved to have the Board of Management in place.
