Mise calls for unity

After being declared as member elected for the Aitape-Lumi District, Anderson Mise has called for unity among all for better service delivery in the district.
When addressing his people today, he congratulated all 5 other candidates who have exercised their democratic rights to contest in the elections and commended all their supporters and campaign managers, including scrutineers, for working in collaboration to deliver the election.
" I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you all 5 candidates, your supporters, campaign managers, including scrutineers, for your efforts in making sure this election runs smoothly. I urged all of us to continue doing that so we can achieve some goals for our district before this 18 months before we come back for 2027 National General Election, " says Mise.
He says the people have suffered for almost 2 years without representation in parliament and it is time their voices must be heard in parliament.
" The people have spoken through the ballot boxes, they have proven that they need a representation. And I will do my best to do that in the next 18 months."
Mr. Mise further added he is very satisfied with the election so far and hope this will be the same for the 2027 National General Election in his District including all other Districts in the country.
