New acting PPC appointed in West Sepik

West Sepik Province has a new acting Provincial Police Commander now in place to oversee the command as the former PPC in charge Inspector Patrick Billy has been sidelined and under investigation for several allegations.
The new acting PPC for West Sepik is now Senior Inspector Silas Kuaino who was appointed by the Police Commission to be in charge of police in West Sepik Province.
Senior Inspector Kuaino comes with experience in administrative and operational command.
Assistant Commissioner Police, Border Command Steven Francis says acting PPC Senior Inspector Kuiano will be acting on the position for an indefinite period until such time when police Commission David Manning appoints a PPC for the province.
He says for now, Senior Inspector Kuaino will oversee the command as the police hierarchy including the Division of Internal Affairs who will carry out their investigations on the Previous PPC and other members of the RPNGC in the province on several allegations raised.
Senior Inspector Kuaino who has experience in both administrative and operational command says he will do his best in serving the people of West Sepik Province.
He acknowledged the office of the Police Commissioner David Manning and the police hierarchy for having the trust and confidence in him for the posts.
Kuaino served in the Commissioner’s Office for two years. Prior to that, he was part of the Mobile Squad and took part in various operations, including the 2022 COVID-19 response in Vanimo.
