TISA Bank opens new branch in East Sepik

East Sepik locals access to banking services is now expanded as they welcome PNG's first commercial bank into the province.
TISA Bank in a milestone achievement launched it's opening today as the second branch outside of Port Moresby in Wewak.
TISA Bank's CEO Sunil Pokharel says this shows they're committed to providing accessible, mordern and inclusive banking services to the people of East Sepik and the region.
"We are committed with the help of the Governor and the Provincial Government to open up branches in other districts as well" he added.
In response, Governor Bird says they are keen on supporting the private sector.
"We can't serve the people without supporting the private sector" he said.
"I would encourage you to venture into Maprik and Angoram…as there are opportunities for growth there," Governor Bird added.
Governor Bird who was the Keynote speaker congratulated TISA Bank and thanked them for choosing East Sepik.
TISA Bank Wewak Branch is located beside the historic flag pole where the PNG Flag was first raised in East Sepik in 1975.
