Tsiamalili urged participants to consider AROB’s Blue Green Economic Policy

Regional Member for Bougainville Peter Tsiamalili Jr is urging participants of the 2-day Bougainville Development Cooperation Conference to consider AROB's Blue Green Economic Policy during their discussions.

MP Tsiamalili emphasised that this policy is locally drafted and applicable to Bougainville's socio-economic development.

The Bougainville Regional Member highlighted that climate change, pollution and environmental issues are confronting the region and this policy is a tool that must be utilized and Implemented

Tsiamalili believes Bougainville's Green Blue Economic Policy is a step forward to develop it's people in a more sustainable.

The 2 day conference ends today at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby.

President of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville Ismael Toroama believes a shift in development plans will position it's Government and people in the right direction as it aspires for independence.

Speaking last night at the Bougainville Development Cooperation Conference, he told key development partners, donor agencies and levels of Government that this is not just delivering services but understanding the challenges of his Government and people.

President Toroama says aligning a strategic development framework is vital and for all partners to work together.

He says this 2-days conference provides the perfect avenue for discussions as the Bougainville Government seek assistance to improve its governance and ensure the right approach in development is implemented by harnessing it's resources for people to benefit.
