PNG University of Technology Faculty of Engineering Accreditation commemoration

The Papua New Guinea University of Technology [PNGUoT] celebrated a significant milestone in its history on Monday where all five of its engineering programs have achieved full international accreditation from Engineers Australia under the Washington Accord.
This accomplishment means that graduates holding a Bachelor of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mining, or Mineral Process Engineering [Honors] degree from PNGUoT are now globally recognized and can work in other countries without needing additional qualifications.
Vice Chancellor Professor Ora Renagi expressed deep gratitude for the dedication of the university's faculty, staff, and students in attaining this prestigious recognition.
The celebration was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Lae MP, John Rosso, highlighting the national significance of this achievement.
This accreditation raises PNGUoT's education standards and improves its engineering graduates' global job prospects.
