Central Bougainville elect MP Jimmy Miringtoro will be sworn in at Government House today.

Mr. Miringtoro arrived from Buka last night and was met at the airport by Our Pati Leader, Rainbo Paita, and several of his party members at Jackson's Airport.

Mr. Paita, when welcoming Mr. Miringtoro, thanked him for choosing to join Our Pati, despite it being a relatively new political party.

He said Mr. Miringtoro’s inclusion in the party is a major boost, as he is a senior politician bringing with him a wealth of experience.

Mr Paita also says that the inclusion of Miringtoro, will bring the number of Bougainville MPs in the party to two, and this will enable the party to have more voice on the Bougainville issue.

The Central Bouganville MPs inclusion will now bring Our Pati's total to 15 members, despite the ousting of Porgera/Paiela MP Amos Akem, through a recent Court decision.

Other Party members who were also at the airport to welcome Mr. Miringtoro, included West New Britain Governor, Sasindran Muthuvel, Samarai Murua MP Isi Henry Leonard, Wau Waria MP, Marsh Narewec, Menyamya MP, Solen Loifa, and party executives.
