The Internal Revenue Commission [IRC] is calling on consumers to cooperate by reporting any complaints regarding the Goods and Services Tax [GST] Zero Rating Initiative.

IRC Commissioner General Sam Koim confirmed that the commission has received numerous concerns and complaints, which are being addressed as they arise.

He stated that full compliance with the initiative is essential to ensure the policy's continuation beyond its initial 12-month period, which ends in July 2026.

"Many of us have seen the impact this initiative has had on shelf prices," Mr. Koim said.

"There are challenges, as we've highlighted in several of our media releases since June 1st, but we are actively addressing them.

"We urge the public to take ownership of the relief being offered and report any issues through the various media channels we have made available."
