Residents of the National Capital District [NCD] and Central Province are being urged to work closely with police to help fight crime and ensure better service delivery across the region.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police and Commander for NCD and Central Province, Benjamin Turi, is calling on the public to report crimes, seek police help, or raise complaints about misconduct directly with their nearest police station commanders.

Commander Turi, in a statement, said it's important to build a strong partnership between communities and law enforcement, as this allows for quicker response and improved public safety.

He urged residents to be proactive, not only in reporting crime but also in ensuring police officers are held accountable for their service.

Commander Turi said there are ten [10] police stations and one police post in NCD, which is enough for station commanders and the Metropolitan Superintendent to manage their manpower and respond to the public.

In Central Province, there are about seven police stations where people should go for help when they need police services.

If station commanders fail to respond, he said the public should report the matter to the Central Provincial Police Commander or the Metropolitan Superintendent, who will investigate and take appropriate action.

Commander Turi said that the following are names and contacts for the police station commanders, Section Heads for NCD and Central Province.
