Major law and order investment in Hela

The Hela Provincial Government launched three major projects at the cost of between over K30 million in Tari, Hela province, yesterday.
This includes a new police headquarter, district and national court houses.
The launching of these projects coincided with the installation of Hela's new resident judge, Andrew Kostopulos.
Hela Governor Phillip Undialu said these projects will complement the work of the police in enforcing law and order in the province and to support the new resident judge of the province in upholding justice.
"Three projects will be stationed in one location to better coordinate and enforce the rule of law in the province." Governor Undialu said.
Additionally, the Hela Provincial Government has plans to build 100 police houses, of which 60 already constructed.
The Hela Governor emphasized that the province has invested in its law and order sector to ensure Hela is safe and peaceful for everyone to live in.
Meanwhile, the unveiling of law and order projects were witnessed by Prime Minister James Marape, Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika, Police Minister Peter Tsiamalili Junior and Police Commissioner David Manning among others.
