UN Secretary-General issues global warming in rising sea level

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has issued a Global warning in Tonga on Tuesday this week on the rising sea levels around the world.
He said the Rising sea levels around the world is affecting coastal communities especially the ones living in the Pacific Region and the Globe must act now.
The UN secretary General made these remarks while addressing Pacific Leaders in Nuku’álofa
Mr. Guterres issued the Global SOS or Save Our Seas notice during his dialogue with pacific leaders .
He says this is a very important issue the World needs to seriously address.
The secretary General described the Pacific as a Paradise which is in Peril due to rising sea levels that have never been experienced in the past.
Numerous reports presented to the UN suggest that the changes to the ocean have accelerated due to Greenhouse gases that are generated from the burning of fossil fuel, which is destroying the planet.
"The Pacific could see at least a 15cm rise in sea level by mid century if global carbon emissions are unchecked.
“This is a crazy situation, rising seas are a crisis entirely of humanity’s making. A crisis that will soon swell to an almost unimaginable scale, with no lifeboat to take us back to safety.
“The reason is clear, greenhouse gases overwhelmingly generated by burning fossil fuels are cooking our planet,” Mr Guterres said.
The UN secretary General says the rippling effects are causing rising sea levels and has led to natural disasters faced mainly in coastal communities in the Pacific Region.
He called on Global leaders from developed countries to step in and assist vulnerable countries that are affected by rising sea levels.
Secretary General Guterres wants developed countries to come together and listen to the voices from the smaller countries in the Pacific Region and collaborate with practical solutions to save the planet before it is too late.
