PNG Revival Centre to celebrate 40 years of ministry in East Sepik
The PNG Revival Centre of Papua New Guinea will celebrate 40 years of ministry in East Sepik Province with a four-day anniversary celebration in Wewak, beginning on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
The church was established in East Sepik on November 1, 1986, by its Founder and Principal Pastor, Godfried Wipon, with November 1 this year marking four decades of ministry in the province.
Momase Regional Pastor Collinson Solmen says preparations are progressing, with church members and visitors already arriving in Wewak from across the province and other parts of the country.
“Currently, we have 300 people already on the ground, coming from the six districts and other provinces,” Pastor Solmen said.
He said organisers are anticipating a significant turnout, with between 5,000 and 10,000 people expected to travel to Wewak for the anniversary.
The celebrations will begin on Thursday with a float procession through Wewak town, culminating at King Charles Oval at Kaltex, where Pastor Wipon will officially open the four-day programme.
Pastor Solmen has extended an open invitation to Christians from all denominations and members of the public to participate in the milestone event.
He is encouraging people from different churches and communities to come together in fellowship as the Revival Centre reflects on its 40-year journey and ministry in East Sepik Province.
The anniversary programme will conclude on Sunday, November 1, the exact date the church marks 40 years since its establishment in the province.
