Tokua airport to accommodate airbus A220
Tokua Airport in East New Britain can now accommodate Airbus A220 aircrafts on temporary basis to help address passenger demand during this peak period.
National Airports Corporation Acting Managing Director Dominic Kaumu says the arrangement commences today, providing additional capacity in this busy festive season.
Kaumu said NAC is also able to facilitate temporary nigh flights operations at Nadzab, Wewak, Momote and Kavieng airports, under advance notice from the airlines.
The Acting MD says night flight operations fall outside of NAC’s normal operating hours and place addition burden on NAC's resources. But, this will only be facilitated to ease congestion and improve passenger movement at this time.
