Pindiu injured medevaced to Lae

Morobe police have confirmed the medevac of six people seriously injured in the LLG elections-related mayhem in Pindiu,to Lae by Manalos Aviation today.

Morobe PPC, Superintendent Sathis, said that Water Police were dispatched this morning to bring in suspects related to the incident.

The problem at Pindiu occurred on Tuesday when a councilor who wanted to contest the President's seat for the Hube LLG in the Finschaffen district attacked a rival councilor in Pindiu.

Supt. Siguyaru said police were sent in yesterday.

Two people died from this attack with 20 houses razed along with cars.

The situation is reportedly tense but under control.
