Madang students thank Governor Pariwa and other Madang MPs for their support

The Madang Students Association at the University of Goroka has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Governor for Madang, Ramsey Pariwa, plus other Madang MPs who have assisted them out of Goroka early this week following a fighting incident between local villagers and a faction of the student body.

"On behalf of the University of Goroka-Madang Students Association, we express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to you, Governor Ramsey Pariwa, and the team for your unwavering support and immediate response and intervention in organizing the rescue team to assist us return safely to Panu. Your swift action demonstrated true leadership, compassion, and commitment to the welfare of Madang students during this difficult time." The student's association said.

The Madang students' association said, the governor and other local MPs' response not only ensured the safety and well-being of the students but also brought great relief to the families and communities who were anxiously awaiting their return.

Madang Students Association at UOG, Philip Sondo said the Governor's action has inspired confidence and pride amongst all Madang students.

"This act of kindness reflects the dedication to the people of Madang. This really shows that you care for the human resources and future of Madang. We also wish to acknowledge the tireless efforts of your officers and all your subordinates who contributed to making the rescue possible." He said.

"Their coordination, patience and professionalism were evident throughout the process, and we are deeply grateful for the teamwork that made this evacuation successful," Sondo said.

They also wish God's guidance and wisdom on Governor Pariwa as he continues to serve the people of Madang Province.
