The Papua New Guinea Football Association [PNGFA] has pushed back the start of its major competitions to give clubs more time to prepare following the nation’s 50th Independence celebrations.

The new dates are:

  • Premier Soccer League (PSL): September 27, 2025
  • Women’s Conference Soccer League (WCSL): September 28, 2025
  • National Youth Soccer League (NYSL): September 28, 2025

The delay also provides PSL clubs extra time to finalise player registrations for the second-round Master List.

PNGFA thanked clubs and stakeholders for their understanding and apologised for any inconvenience, promising smooth operations and exciting football action ahead.
