Great experience for young Tuna

Going up against the best in the world in the World Athletics Championships, PNG's sprint star in the men's 200 metres, Timothy Tuna, did well, says Athletics PNG President Tony Green.
Green said young Tuna didn’t run his best time, but he competed well against the best in the world in the 200m heats yesterday in Tokyo, Japan.
After the race, Tuna said is was quite a challenge for him, and he went out there giving his best for his country to cross the finish line with a time of 20. 64 seconds.
"Oh, well, to be honest, the field was packed, so it was quite a challenge for me. I mean, not the results I wanted, but the aim was just to come out here and do my best. So, I got to cross that line and finish strong," Tuna said.
Tuna said he will use this experience to do better and improve in the future.
"This is literally my first time running in quite a very big audience. I mean, I have never experienced something like this."
"When I got out of the call room, and just saw everyone, my heart already started pounding. But it's good to have an audience like this, but like I said the first time."
"So, I take this as a stepping stone and look forward to what's next. Get back to doing it. Just work towards improving and getting better."

In the men's 200 meter heats, Timothy was in lane three, and he went up against Bryan Levell of Jamaica, who finished first, Zimbabwe's Makanakaishe Charamba, who finished second, and Gout Gout from Australia, who finished third.
