Deputy Prime Minister announces funeral committee for Late Morobe Governor

The Deputy Prime Minister and member for Lae, John Rosso officially announced the sudden passing of the Late Morobe Governor, Honourable Luther Akisawa Wenge, describing it as a tragic loss for the province and the country.
Speaking after a meeting with the Morobe Provincial Administrator Max Bruten, senior officials from the Morobe Provincial Government [MPG], and the Assistant Commissioner of Police for Northern Command Peter Guinness today, DPM Rosso confirmed that a committee has been established to oversee funeral arrangements for the late governor back in Morobe.

“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Governor Wenge,” he said. “Morobe has lost a great leader and a true statesman. We must give our governor the respect he deserves.”
He went on to assure the public, that his office along with all the ten [10] Morobe MPs, will work closely with the Provincial Administrator Mr Max Bruten, and the National Government to ensure proper state protocols and funeral arrangements are done.
The Deputy Prime Minister extended his condolences to the family, relatives and the people of Morobe, and advised that an official funeral program will be released after consultations with the Wenge family, the National Government and the MPG officials.
Late Governor Luther Wenge, a prominent political figure and long-serving leader, was widely respected for his dedication to Morobe Province. His death marks a significant loss in Papua New Guinea's political landscape.
