OWC launches Claims Processing and Payment System

Workers and their families can now lodge compensation claims online, track their progress, and ensure faster, transparent processing.
This following the launch of the Claims Processing and Payment System [CPPS] by the Office of Workers Compensation or OWC in Port Moresby, today.
Secretary for the Department of Labor George Taunakakei says the new system represents a significant step away from decades of paper-based processes and inefficiencies.
Taunakekei adds from paper-based manual systems since 1970s, now OWC moves into the digital era, and this also update us to be relevant and responsive to the needs of citizens.
Chief Commissioner Martin Pala said: "The system is designed to restore public trust and reduce turnaround times of past challenges of delays, inefficiencies, and fraud."
The launch also coincided with Papua New Guinea’s independence celebrations, reinforcing the message that serving workers with dignity and justice is part of the nation’s patriotic responsibility.
