Parkop addresses Navy Officers

National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop has officially welcomed the 13 Navy ship companies that are here to celebrate PNG 50 years.

Governor Parkop in his address to the visiting contingent says this is powerful reminder that PNG is part of the wider community of nations, one that crosses oceans and national borders, one built on mutual respect and shared goals.

Parkop told the navy officers that the sea connects Us In the Indo-Pacific region. Whether it's trade, security, disaster response, or protecting our marine environment, none of us can do it alone, Parkop said.

He said: "We rely on each other, and that's why partnerships like the ones we are celebrating today are so important."
