The Simbu Provincial Health Authority [SiPHA] has received a K5 million funding boost from the Government, aimed at improving healthcare services across the province.

Health Minister Elias Kapavore presented the funding during the recent accreditation ceremony for Mingende District Hospital, as part of government’s commitment to revitalizing health services and addressing challenges in Simbu’s rugged terrain.

“This funding follows my recent visits to remote facilities in the province. I urge Simbu PHA to use these funds wisely, ensuring that healthcare services reach every corner of the province,” Minister Kapavore said.

Simbu Governor Noah Kool said it is important to encourage government partnerships for sustainable development, pledging provincial support for the health authority’s initiatives.
“Together, we can achieve better healthcare outcomes for our people,” Governor Kool said.

Simbu PHA board chairman David Herman Nime also demonstrated the authority’s commitment by announcing a K100,000 contribution to Mingende District Hospital.

“I thank the Health Department and the national government for the K5 million boost. This is a significant step toward enhancing healthcare services in our province,” Nime said, adding that the funding is expected to positively impact healthcare services, infrastructure, and outcomes across Simbu.

He said the backing reflects the government’s dedication to public health and its ongoing commitment to improving the lives of Simbu residents.
