Pangu has 51 MP’s

The ruling Papua and New Guinea Union Party, or PANGU, has now increased its numbers to 51 MPs as of last night [Monday]
This followed the inclusion of Porgera Paiela MP Gidron Maso Karipe and Usino Bundi MP, Vincent Kumura.
Prime Minister James Marape, when welcoming the two MPs, says that their decision to join PANGU is an important one, because the two districts are also home to two important projects, which are contributing economically to the country.
He says that though their electorates are remote and faced with many challenges, their alignment with the government will assist them bring the much needed services of health, education, roads, law and order and empowerment to their people.
Mr Marape also says that he is grateful to have the two new MPs join PANGU, who was the party responsible in bringing political independence, and their support will move the party towards achieving economic independence as well for the country, within the next 50 years.
The two won their respective seats in the recent by election, following the deaths of their predecessors.
