Funding delay stalls Kimbe Hospital development

The Department of Health is awaiting the Treasury to establish the loan arrangement for funding to commence work on the Kimbe Provincial Hospital.

Health Minister Elias Kapavore said this, following questions from West New Britain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel on the status of the hospital development, since its ground breaking in 2021.

Mr Muthuvel told parliament , the hospital is one of the oldest structures still in the province and the people want to know what's happening.

Kavapore, when responding, says all necessary clinical services plans and the master plan have been completed, awaiting Treasury.
