Moni Plus supports PNG Volleyball with K20,000 for Pacific Mini Games

The Papua New Guinea Volleyball Federation’s preparations for next month’s Pacific Mini Games have received a significant boost with a K20,000 sponsorship from Moni Plus.
This timely support will help the federation purchase uniforms and other essential items for Team PNG’s volleyball contingent ahead of the Games in Palau.
Moni Plus Information and Communication Technology Manager, Tau Kilamanu, said the financial institution has a long-standing history of supporting various sports, including Australian Football League, rugby, softball, and basketball.
He said it was about time they show support for volleyball as they prepared towards the mini games.
“Today marks a particularly proud moment as we forge a partnership with PNG Volleyball Federation. This alliance enriches the tapestry of valuable connections we are continually weaving across the national sport,” he said when presenting the cheque today.
“Our commitment to give back to the broader society transcends mere financial contributions. It embodies a profound vote of confidence in your talent, dedicated effort, and ongoing journey.
“We firmly believe that with the appropriate encouragement and vital resources, you will undoubtedly continue to grow stronger, set your sights higher, and achieve even greater milestones.”
PNG Volleyball Federation President, Edward Aisi, said preparations for the Team PNG Volleyball squad are in their final stages, with four teams preparing to compete: men’s and women’s beach volleyball, and men’s and women’s indoor volleyball.
Aisi noted the Moni Plus sponsorship comes at a crucial time, just a month ahead of the event, which will be held from June 29 to July 9 in Palau.
“We’ve ordered 56 pairs of uniforms from the Philippines for our national teams to wear at the beach and indoor volleyball courts in Palau,” Aisi said, thanking Moni Plus for their support.
“Thank you to the director, management, and everyone at Moni Plus for taking the time to support us. My hat's off to you all. We hope to continue this partnership and take volleyball to the next level. With the youth games coming up, and young talent being introduced, I believe volleyball in PNG has a bright future.”
Meanwhile, Kilamanu reaffirmed Moni Plus’s support by saying: “To the esteemed team representing us at the Pacific Mini Games, you carry far more than a ball and a jersey. You embody the collective hopes and deep pride of our entire nation.”
