CCHS talks focus on community health

Southern region diocesan Catholic Church Health Services have all converged in Alotau, their gathering aimed at knowledge and experience sharing to overcome the current health challenges each of them faces.
Graham Apian, Project Director CCHS says they are using this time to identify current public health challenges and collaboratively develop innovative, integrated and cost effective plans to better meet the current health needs of communities.
Dr Persita Mamadi, CEO Milne Bay Health Authority opened the conference this morning, encouraging they educate themselves on the country's current health systems and be open to partnerships that drive this.
The theme this year is "Strengthening Communuty Engagement in Health Service Delivery".
Participants are coming from Daru, Kerema, Central and NCD.
