BFF mourns the passing of president, Justin Helele

The Bougainville Football Federation is mourning the passing of their president, Justin Helele.
Mr. Helele passed away at 2am this morning.
Justin Helele was a pillar of football community by providing needed leadership to help shape the future of football in Bougainville.
He inspired countless individuals with his passion for the game and promote the development of football throughout the region.
Mr. Helele’s involvement in soccer began in the early 1980s when he served as the President of Mungkas Soccer in Lae. He later led Sobou FC during their rise to prominence as one of the top teams in the country.

Apart from other leadership roles he occupied, he served as one of the Senior Vice Presidents of the Papua New Guinea Football Association [PNGFA] and was known for his commitment to the development of football.
