Patient safety commission set up

In light of growing concerns over patient safety, rights, and medical negligence, plans are in place to establish a Patient Safety Commission.

Health Minister Elias Kapavore revealed - there will be amendments to the Medical Registration Act to allow for this.

There are also plans to set up a system in the Ombudsman Commission to look at medical negligence complaints for health and other sectors as well.
