Chairman of the Board of the National Broadcasting Corporation Ian Tarutia says the NBC Board has nothing to do with the temporary suspension of FM 100 Talk Show host Culligan Tanda.

He made the clarification this afternoon in a statement.

Mr. Tarutia also says the Minister for Information and Communication Technology Timothy Masiu and his Department of ICT have nothing to do with the suspension.

He says FM 100 has its own Board and Management and is owned by Telikom PNG Limited.

He says Mr Tanda's situation is an internal administrative matter for the FM100 Board and Management to deal with.

Mr. Tarutia says he's confident the FM 100 leadership will adequately address this situation at their level.

He says all facts on the governance of the NBC and its mandate should be properly checked, before misinformed statements are issued to the public.
