Castleford honors PNG with New Jersey

Castleford Tigers are among 6 Bredford Super League teams that will don their Magic Weekend Jerseys this weekend.

The Tigers tribute jersey is themed in line with PNG celebrating its 50th Independence in September.

The club made the decision to print a tribute jersey to mark its partnership with 4 PNG Kumuls. Liam Horne, Judah Rimbu, Jeremiah Simbiken and Sylvester Namo.

Namo was released early off contract, due to meeting its salary cap while Simbiken will watch from the bench after succumbing to a freak knee injury last weekend.

PNG Kumuls Hooker Liam Horne makes a return to Castlefords line up after missing a number of weekends off the field.

Coach Danny McGuire also named Rimbu in his lineup.

The Castleford Tigers will face the Wakefield Trinity at 2:30 AM Monday.
