Inaugural PNG Media Summit underway in Port Moresby

The first ever PNG Media Summit kicks of this morning in Port Moresby.

The inaugural media event organized by the PNG Women in Media for PNG Media Council is to commemorate the World Media Freedom Day Today.

The theme of the event is AI, Ethics, and Standards of Media Landscape in PNG.

The event is attended by Media professionals, policy makers, academics and all in the Media industry.

Today' s event is first part of the Program, the second part will be the PNG Media Award later this evening. Both are to commemorate the World Media Freedom Day which falls 9n the 3rd of May which is Today.

In the meantime, the summit is into its panel discussion where you have prominent people like Peter Aitsi of PNG Transparency International, and Editor's of major newsroom of mainstream media houses discussing AI and the Media in PNG.
