Simbu PPC calls for peaceful LLG elections

Simbu Provincial Police Commander [PPC] Superintendent Mazuc Rubiang issued a strong call to intending candidates and supporters for a peaceful and fair conduct on the Local Level Government [LLG] election in the province.

Supt. Rubiang told NBC this morning that with eleven weeks remaining for campaign, he expects everyone to be responsible for their actions to avoid inconvenience and disturbances.

"We must not influence, intimidate others, or hijack the process, be at peace, respect each other's freedom and allow democracy to take place ", Supt Rubiang said.

He said he will not tolerate anyone who tries to intimidate or disturb the work of the Electoral Commission or police to deliver a safe and secure Election.
