Australia delivers humanitarian aid for landslide affected people in Enga Province

Papua New Guinea's neighbor and bilateral partner, Australia has delivered a massive load of relief supplies today to assist people affected by the landslide in Mulitaka, Enga Province.
Dr Billy Joseph thanked the Australian Government this morning for the two massive loads of humanitarian aid supplies brought in by two Australian Military aircraft this morning.
Dr. Joseph and Enga Governor Peter Ipatas have accompanied the Australian High Commissioner John Feakes to Enga Province to deliver the relief supplies.
The Australian Government is the first international partner to coordinate relief supplies to people affected by the recent landslide disaster in Enga Province.
The relief supplies were loaded on an Australian C130 Military Aircraft. The supplies contain basic food, water, blankets and tents.
Australian High Commissioner to PNG John Feakes says the Australian Government stands ready to support relief efforts.
The relief supplies are being transported by aircraft to Mt Hagen today.

Defence Minister Dr Billy Joseph thanked the Australian Government for their timely support.
He says despite political movements over the last three days the national government is committed to deliver relief supplies to victims of the Mulitaka massive Land slide disaster.
Enga governor Peter Ipatas shared similar remarks, acknowledging the support to his province both locally and internationally.
The team lead by the Australian High commissioner, with the defense minister and Governor Peter Ipatas traveled with the supplies in the ADF C130 military aircraft to Mt Hagen this morning.
