THE Prime Minister James Marape is keeping his promise to visit Simbu again today.

During his last visit on the first of April specifically to see the disaster areas, he promised to return to the province to see the progress of work done on the areas that were badly affected by natural disasters a month ago.

Mr Marape had tasked the Simbu Emergency Disaster Operation to fix the roads and bridges that had been damaged by landslides.

The national government provided K14 million to each of the six districts while the Simbu Provincial Administration met the cost of emergency relief supplies.

Secretary for the Department of Works and Highways, David Wereh says it will take K76 Million to fix up all the problems created by the disaster in Simbu alone.

Simbu's capital, Kundiawa town is now preparing to host the Prime Minister today.
