Globe manufacturing company supports Madang Rugby League grand final
Madang Rugby League has received some timely assistance from Globe Manufacturing Company as it prepares to host its grand final games tomorrow.
The company donated tins of paint to mark the Ron Albert Oval ahead of tomorrow's fixtures.
The donation was formally presented by Globe Manufacturing General Manager, Darmith Fernando, to Madang Rugby League Administrator, Albert Tobe, at the Ron Albert Oval on Thursday.
Tobe has extended the association's sincere appreciation to the company, stating
Madang Rugby League has faced significant challenges in securing sufficient financial support from potential sponsors to host a successful grand final this year.
He said, "Therefore, every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
"Support such as this from Globe Manufacturing will go a long way towards helping us prepare a quality venue and, more importantly, revive, strengthen, and develop rugby league in Madang Town and the wider province.
"On behalf of the Madang Rugby League Executives, participating clubs, players, and supporters, we extend our sincere appreciation to Globe Manufacturing for standing with rugby league in Madang.
"Thank you, Globe Manufacturing, for supporting the game and our community."
Tomorrow's grandfinals will see Takara 1 Hawks and 6A Bulldogs battle it out for the 2026 title in the Under 20 Men's Division, whilst in the Open Women’s Division, Madang Sisters will challenge Madang Royals.
In the main game, which is the Senior Men's Division, Madang Royals will face off with Takara 1 Hawks.
The gates will be opened at 9 AM with the first game (Under 20 Men's) expected to start at 11 AM, the women's game is scheduled for 1 PM whilst the Senior Men's grand final will kick off at 3 PM.
