Trukai Industries donates over K100,00 to support Morobe Show infrastructure

Trukai Industries has presented K133,100 to the Morobe Show Committee to support this year’s Morobe Show.

The presentation was made today at the Lae Showgrounds to committee president Hans Mehl.

Mehl said the support would help the committee continue improving facilities at the showgrounds.

A new toilet block has been built along the main roadside, with other improvements made around the agricultural area.

“Any sponsorship is very valuable in improving the grounds, the facilities and the event overall,” Mehl said.

He thanked Trukai for its long-standing partnership with the Morobe Show, saying the company supports the event through both its commercial and agricultural displays.

“We love Trukai. Trukai is our partner and has been our partner for so many years,” he said.

Mehl said the committee also wants to make the showgrounds more useful throughout the year.

Plans include installing lights around the oval for night sports and developing a larger pavilion for other community activities.

“We’re trying to see how can we fulfil that and make the showground a public place where many functions can happen,” Mehl said.
