K29.7 million secured to seal Kikiri road in Popondetta

Popondetta District has secured K29.7 million through the Kina for Kina and Public Investment Program to upgrade and seal Kikiri road in Northern Province.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by local PM Richard Masere.

Masere said the Kikiri road project will be rolled out in three phases over the next three years.

The first phase payment of K5 million has already been released. He said the K5 million will be used to seal one kilometre of the road.

The Kikiri road project has been awarded to Savana Construction Limited.

Speaking at the announcement, Savana Construction Managing Director Thomas Constan Tinou thanked Minister Masere and the Popondetta District DDA for awarding the project to his company.

Tinou said they will ensure the first phase is completed and they move on to the second and final stage of the project.
