Bulolo starts work on K5.4 million administration building
Bulolo District has started work on a new K5.4 million administration building in Bulolo Town.
The two-storey duplex building is expected to be completed within seven months.
Bulolo MP and District Development Authority chairman Sam Basil Jnr says the project will reaffirm Bulolo Town as the district headquarters.
The new building will also provide space for the Bulolo Urban Chamber and other administrative functions.
Bulolo district chief executive officer Joe O’Brien Paru said the project builds on the work of former Bulolo leaders who established the existing administration office.
During construction, the district administration will operate temporarily from Golpu Haus at Zenag in Mumeng LLG.
Basil also announced plans for another project, with a groundbreaking ceremony expected next month for 50 new houses for district staff.
The projects are aimed at improving office space and working conditions for district staff and supporting better service delivery.
