Crusade inspires hundreds in Wewak
More than 700 Christians from Wewak Urban and surrounding sub-districts gathered at the AOG Full Gospel Town Church in Wewak, East Sepik Province, for the Indoor Mega Crusade with renowned USA Evangelist Randy Jach from 25–27 July 2026.
Held under the theme “Equipping the Harvesters” from Matthew 9:37–38, the three-day crusade encouraged believers to strengthen their relationship with God and be ready to serve in His harvest.
Evangelist Jach shared that he traveled for five days from the United States to Papua New Guinea to preach the Gospel. In his final message, he encouraged Christians to practise five key disciplines: fast one day each week, pray one hour daily, read and study the Bible for 10 minutes every day, faithfully give one-tenth [tithe], and faithfully give offerings.
He said these five principles have guided his life and ministry, opening doors for him to preach in 131 countries over the past two years. Wewak was his first stop in Papua New Guinea before traveling to Port Moresby to continue his preaching.
Evangelist Jach thanked Senior Pastor Ivan Lesly for finding him online and inviting him to minister in Wewak. He reminded the congregation not only to hear God’s Word but to put it into action.
Speaking on behalf of the church board, church elder Freddy Benguma thanked Evangelist Jach for accepting God’s call to travel to Wewak. The church board and leaders also presented him with gifts in appreciation of his ministry.
The AOG Full Gospel Town Church in Wewak holds a special place in the history of the AOG movement, as it is where the first AOG missionaries arrived before spreading the Gospel to other districts in East Sepik Province.
