4 dead in dinghy mishap in MBP

‎‎ A dinghy ferrying passengers to Cape Vogel village of Makamaka LLG in Alotau District, overturned yesterday afternoon while crossing from Girumia point to Sibiribiri in Milne Bay Province.

‎Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy. However, Makamaka LLG president, Lloyd Franklin, in a text message to NBC news, said a dinghy carrying ten people overturned at around 5:30pm on on Thursday, while crossing from Girumia Point in Weraura LLG to Sibiribiri Point in Makamaka LLG, Alotau District.

‎Franklin said among the ten, three adults - two male and one female survived the incident.
‎Four females - a student and three adults have been confirmed dead while three adults -a female and two males are still missing.

‎He said the four deceased were transported on Friday evening to Baiawa Village, Makamaka LLG.
