Zifasing challenged to free up more land for development

New Britain Palm Oil has launched projects at Markham farm in Morobe Province, following the signing of the Development Agreement recently.

People of Zifasing, and New Britain Palm Oil delegates from Malaysia, and West New Britain together joined the celebration of achievement.

During the launch, Governor Reinbo Paita challenged locals to free up land for development purpose.

"We only live once and while we make decisions, lets unlock our land before the land locks us in our graves and so I challenge you all to unlock the lands for more responsible developments like this one, to take place."

Representing the Chuaiv clan,Marie Seymour, commended his clansmen for their decision of allowing the company to extend its business.

She reminded them to encourage young people to take education serious, to get involved in the project.

"25 years is a very long time, and so I encourage our young children to get educated to become human resources to be involved in the company's activities."

The dignitaries lead by governor Paita, with CEO Mutsapha and others, planted one hectare of oil palm seedling, to signify the launching of the 1,100 hectares Zifasing Mini Oil Palm Estate.
