Acting ACP Dalla elevated to Assistant Police Commissioner

The Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary in Jiwaka have joined in with the rest of Eastern End Command Division to celebrate the elevation of the Acting ACP Clement Dalla to Assistance Police Commissioner.

Jiwaka police hosted a parade with a general salute in honoring his elevation on Friday 19th.

Eastern End Command and Assistance Police Commissioner Clement Dalla in his address to Jiwaka police commanded the police for their tireless efforts in mending law and order in Jiwaka despite down-fall in man-power.

ACP Dalla also encouraged police officers to uphold justice as front-line workers in mitigating law and order problem.

ACP Dalla also encouraged police to be resistant to briberies and entertaining offenders or suspects outside the court box.

He strongly condemned the growing trend with officers issuing briberies and not conducting proper investigations, or strucking out inductive cases before it reaches grade five committal courts.

He said, police must uphold their calling as a law enforcer, and not to involve in taking the position of a registered or judge to mitigate and negotiate with deals outside of courts.

"This is becoming a trend and a growing concern the hierarchy will look into it and penalizing officers who involve in such act." ACP Dalla said.

ACP Dalla also commanded Jiwaka leaders, village court officials and peace mediators who always being in the frontline to defuse tensions.

He also advised police personnel to remain neutral as and should know take sides with candidates while the National General Election is around the corner.

The parade was hosted by Jiwaka Provincial Police Commander Inspector Chief Laimo Asi with the presence of the Jiwaka political and administration head; Governor Simon Kaiwi and Administrator Rick Kogen including PPC Simbu Detective Superintendent Rubian Mazuc.

The parade also coincided with a toast, cake cutting hosted by Jiwaka Police and presentation of live pigs presented by Jiwaka Provincial Government and Administration.
