Prime Minister sends Christmas greetings from home
Prime Minister James Marape has sent his Christmas Greetings from his home in Ambua, Tari.
He went back to his home to rest and recuperate and appealed to Papua New Guineans that wherever everyone is, as a nation with so much diversity, over 800 languages, a thousand tribes, and yet we blend into one people, one nation, one country.
"God bless everyone and greetings once again from Tari. I am taking a walk into the bush in Ambua in a few moments from today as there is nothing better to do than to enjoy the nature that God has gifted us Papua New Guinea.
"Wherever you are this Christmas, take time, shout out, reach back to your family, tribes, and wherever you come from, make sure we all get together and join in the mood of Christmas", the prime minister said.
He urged the people to care, share, love, heal, forgive one another, especially families, communities, and collectively the country.
"Merry Christmas all my fellow Papua New Guineans, may the completion of this year 2025, be good for all of us and as we look forward to a better 2026.
"For those of you who come from coastal areas go for a swim or a enjoy a canoe ride.
"For those of you who come from mountainous areas like me, please go for a walk in the bush where you will find rest, recuperate, and prepare your mind for what is coming ahead of us; a bumper 2026.
"God Bless everyone and Merry Christmas, Papua New Guinea", the prime minister echoed.
